What is procrastination and get rid if that?

I will become an IAS officer.
For that, I need the best books available in the market.
I need to be enrolled in the best training institute.
I need the advice of a few successful candidates.
I need a separate room in my house.
It must have a comfortable study table and an Airconditioner.
I must have the fastest wi-fi and the best laptop to study.
I must take a week's break and enjoy the fullest before I start my preparations.
It's too late now I will plan for the “holiday” tomorrow.
In the meanwhile, a poor auto driver's daughter was studying under street lamp from torn second-hand books at 3 am in the morning.

Procrastination starts from-
  1. Putting conditions on a particular task.
  2. From the lack of urgency and non-compulsive nature of an activity.
  3. From the thought of having a perfect environment to do something.
  4. The wait for the perfect moment (which never comes)
  5. The thought of undervaluing the present moment.
  6. Fear of failures or facing complexities.

How can you prevent it?
  1. Make a checklist of all the activities you need to do, start from the simplest but start and keep ticking.
  2. Don't think about the perfect weapon and the best position, just look at the corner of the eye of your target and shoot from whatever you have and wherever you are standing.
  3. Focus on ending your task, don't focus on starting it.
  4. Keep minimal expectations so that fear of failures doesn't make you weak even before you start.
  5. Don't over think, limit your thinking time and maximize you're doing time.

How to become mentally strong: Tips and techniques

1. Never ever get uncomfortable. If you are uncomfortable, it means there is something you fear from. Don’t let fear ruling you! You will see they don’t even exist. 2. Fake it till you make it. Perception beats reality. Before I start doing something challenging, this is simply what I do. If the goal is too keep yourself mentally strong, don’t hesitate to believe you are. I bet it works. 3. Say it out loud! Say what you want out loud. It is that much simple to keep yourself motivated and so mentally strong. 4. Try to define actions reversely. Maybe you call yourself a procrastinator or late doer. This is not the true way of defining your actions. Approach from the different perspective and say you are able to do it such quick that you don’t even need to start so early. 5. Act of kindness. I think act of kindness interestingly and impressively increases the level of happiness. You should also try. 6. Try to spend time with motivated people. In ...

How can you improve your life?

The 18 unconventional ways to elevate your consciousness, expand your influence and ultimately improve your life. Have sex.  There's something unflinchingly "human” about a sexual experience. It builds something within you that connects deeply to nature. A confidence is built. From a person who went stretches- sometimes over a year- without having sex due to deeply rooted sexual anxieties (fear of climaxing too quick, that I wasn't “good enough” in bed, distaste of one-night-encounters etc) rediscovering the feeling you get in your life while being sexually active has really made a positive impact. Introduce yourself to anyone and everyone.  Human beings are social creatures by nature. With that in mind, it is imperative to make your presence known in any room you're in. Don't you hate that feeling when you're at a party or gathering, you go there with a friend and the friend doesn't introduce you to anyone? It sucks. Extreme responsibility is needed on y...

How reading can help you succeed in life.

He makes time for it. Buffet once gave students in an investing class at Columbia University the following advice: "Read 500 pages like this every day," Buffett said to the students, while reaching toward a stack of manuals and papers. "That's how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it." Well, we can all build up that knowledge. But are we really doing it? Warren Buffett says, “I just sit in my office and read all day.” What does that mean? He estimates that he spends 80% of his working day reading and thinking. This leads to what is known as the  Buffet Formula: “Going to bed smarter than you woke up.” Why is that so important? We’ve been recording knowledge in books for a long time. That means there’s not a lot that’s new; it’s just recycled old knowledge. Odds are that no matter what you’re working on, someone somewhere, who is smarter than you, has...
