How to become smarter

  1. Focus on the top most and the lower most part of your attire, that is your hair and your shoes, these are the most noticed things.
  2. Never easily trust people or tell your secrets to every other person you are comfortable with.
  3. Be an “information digger”, listen to everyone, you will get to learn so many important things, speak only when it's essential.
  4. Always carry a little smile of confidence on your face, this can be done by thinking about all the good things in life.
  5. Keep focus on what comes out of your mouth, “smell” and “words” both matter a lot. Maintain a high grade.
  6. Keep yourself simple. Complicating yourself or over doing things only makes you look like a bunch of entangled wires.
  7. Speak with ease, don't rush, even if you are short of time.
  8. Always pay attention to the clothes and accessories you wear. Price doesn't matter, cleanliness matters.
  9. Don't talk about your weaknesses in public, work on them in private.
  10. Never stop learning, learn about shit, but learn.
  11. Never underestimate yourself, your uniqueness is your USP. If you think low of yourself, you are encouraging the whole world to do the same.
  12. Don't abuse or hit people, behave in all humbleness with politeness, your mind knows a thousand ways to silently kill a snake, think with cold mind.
  13. Smart people don't accept defeats and failures, they hug them with open hands and learn.
  14. Cry when alone, smile in public.
  15. Smart people don't rush, they relax and think.
  16. Smart people don't run in stupid races, they walk on the right track.
  17. You can work hard to survive, smart people create a vision to thrive.
  18. Smart people don't show off, they appear like under dogs until they conquer the world.

The Feynman Technique Model to learn better

The Feynman Technique is a  Mental Model  named after  Richard Feynman , a Nobel Prize Winning Physicist. It is designed as a technique to help you learn pretty much learn anything - so understand concepts you don't really get, remember stuff you have already learnt, or study more efficiently. The Feynman Technique was actually a big inspiration for this blog - I try and apply this to a lot of the concepts and Mental Models that I write about. The technique can be broken down into four easy steps, but first a quick video from  Scott Young  that sums it up very simply. Learn Faster with the Feynman Technique  So now for a recap of the steps: Step 1 Write the name of the concept at the top of a blank piece of paper. Step 2 Write down an explanation of the concept on the page. Use plain English. Pretend you are teaching it to someone else (e.g a new student). This should highlight what you understand, but more importantly ...

How can you improve your life?

The 18 unconventional ways to elevate your consciousness, expand your influence and ultimately improve your life. Have sex.  There's something unflinchingly "human” about a sexual experience. It builds something within you that connects deeply to nature. A confidence is built. From a person who went stretches- sometimes over a year- without having sex due to deeply rooted sexual anxieties (fear of climaxing too quick, that I wasn't “good enough” in bed, distaste of one-night-encounters etc) rediscovering the feeling you get in your life while being sexually active has really made a positive impact. Introduce yourself to anyone and everyone.  Human beings are social creatures by nature. With that in mind, it is imperative to make your presence known in any room you're in. Don't you hate that feeling when you're at a party or gathering, you go there with a friend and the friend doesn't introduce you to anyone? It sucks. Extreme responsibility is needed on y...

What is life too short for?

Spending time  in damaging relationships  — whether its parents, partner or friends, put yourself first. Trying  to please everyone  — by doing meaningless favors, making decisions based on other’s opinion, etc. Pursuing  a career that you don’t care  about — to make your parents happy or to fit into society. Procrastination —  waiting for the day  when you will finally start crushing your goals. Avoiding pain  — not taking risks, staying in your comfort zone, not working enough, etc. Unconsciously watching Tv, movies, social media — trying to  escape the reality  of your life. Never growing as a person, realizing your potential — just  being okay with a mediocre you. You wouldn’t give away your money for free, then why do you give away your time — giving it away to  people you don’t like. Working a 9–5  job that you hate  but never making efforts to get out of it. Above all, not pursuing true joy and f...
